We tailor our program to individual needs. Persons who know ice climbing basics and are in good physical condition (capable to climb for many hours on long routes) are very welcome.
We don’t require leading skills, but you have to know all the multi-pitch climbing procedures with focus on proper belaying the leader climber and you must be able to operate in gloves (cleaning after leader) and be experienced in ascending.

If you are complete beginner we would suggest you to join our beginner course first. If your goal is to improve your climbing skills then the best for you is our ice climbing clinics. Both of the programs concentrate on teaching process but at the same time are very adventurous and always located in fantastic climbing areas.

We can recommend you to climb with us in Rjukan, known as a ice climbers Mecca, with short access and endless variations of ice routes. We can offer you round trip in Norway and show you the best of the ice lines. We can combine your trip with some of the famed Norwegian classics. If you are unclear about where to go we can always suggest you the destination and climbing goals.

Our course is dedicated to all of you who want to start winter activities in the mountains and want to do it safe. We also recommend it to all of you who have already tried it but need to refresh or organize your knowledge. By mountains winter activities we understand either walking or climbing in the mountains, glaciers hikes and long therm expeditions. Some of the mountain skiers and snowboarders might also find this course very useful. Our course is designed as a first step towards winter activities in the mountains.

We will teach you how to use ice axe and crampons on snow and ice, rope techniques, glacier rescue, navigation, avalanche risk management and organizing bivouac. Our course is a combination of lectures followed by slideshow and practical outdoor exercises and summit tours.

We will be situated in Hemsedal or West Jotunheimen (homeland of the giants), in the alpine scenery of Norwegian highest mountains and majestic peaks. Here we will practice winter mountaineering and enjoy amazing nature.

Our goal is to analyze individual case and design the best program to quickly improve you skills, prepare you to become independent climber and teach you to lead.

We will teach you how to independently choose your climbing route, how to assess conditions, and how to choose correct line in between ice formations while analyzing potential risk.

We want you to be able to place your protection in the best possible spots. At the same time we will show you how to organize your protection along the whole rope length. We will enrich your climbing skills with knowledge about how to save your energy while climbing and minimize the risk of falling.
We will teach how to climb efficiently and we will focus on your technique and safety. Our program includes also practical exercises in building anchors in ice for both belaying and ascending and rescue techniques.
